1. Remove the old battery, and as you do so, press the upper positive terminal until it touches the negative grid. After recovering the terminal position, the positive contact should be firm with the upper terminal.
2. Place the new battery in with the positive side turned upward. Then, put your key fob back together. 
3. If your vehicle has passive entry, wait 10 minutes for the battery to recharge before you use the key.
